SRCI Update: Vendor Map, New Logo and Website
SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface) is one of PI’s technologies that is revolutionizing a big technology market – we are talking about the robotics industry. With SRCI, PI is providing the first standard for robot programming and operation by enabling robot programming in PLC environments – just like any other part of your machine program. Sounds too good to be true? Then you probably understood that right!
Robot commands are packaged as standardized PLC-usable function blocks. As they are executed they are sent to the robot controller where the corresponding action is induced. For technical details and further information, please click here to visit the SRCI technology webpage.
The most frequently asked question about SRCI is: “Which manufacturers already support SRCI?” This question is closely followed by: “Where can I see which functions a manufacturer supports?”
We are delighted that we can now answer this question once and for all with the SRCI Vendor Map – the official hub for up-to-date SRCI-related information. It has been elaborately programmed, is constantly updated and contains all data on SRCI-compatible manufacturers with all available products and functions.
There are multiple ways to use the SRCI Vendor Map:
- Find out which robot and PLC companies already support SRCI.
- Discover the entire list of functions implemented by each manufacturer.
- Search for vendors supporting a specific function.
- Explore which specific functions are available to you when you choose a particular robot and a specific PLC vendor.

The logo application is entering the next round: The trademark application process for the SRCI logo has finally been officially launched – PI can use the logo with immediate effect. As soon as the registration will have been successfully completed, only members of the SRCI Robotics Working Group will be eligible to use the logo.
