Membership

The Profibus Association of Australia + New Zealand (PAANZ) is one of 25 Regional PI Associations (RPA) around the world representing the Profibus International (PI) organization. We are responsible for all activities within Australia + New Zealand linked to the marketing and promotion of Profibus and Profinet brands and technologies.

PI has about 1700 members worldwide. They include all leading automation vendors, plus many end users and other organizations such as universities around the world who profit from advanced information to achieve a competitive edge in the market.

Members of the organization can be vendors of hardware, software and systems as well as end users, operators, scientific institutes and federations provided they support the purposes of PI and the respective Regional PI Association (RPA).

Membership offers many benefits including access to a wide range of marketing and technical documentation covering specifications, standards, profiles and technical support including invites to events such as: expo.s, seminars, conferences, workshops, networking and internet-based activities i.e. webinars.

Categories – ‘BLUE-CHIP’ Membership Packages

The Management Committee decided on four levels of membership, with different sets of membership benefits and different membership fees (GST not included, but applicable):

Vendor

Vendor – yearly membership fee: AUD $1,200.00(Ex GST).

This membership level is suitable for companies offering PROFIBUS, PROFINET, IO LINK products and/ or services but not developing or manufacturing their own products.

• Access to all PI resources: specifications, guidelines and other technical documents published by PROFIBUS International & PAANZ.
• A copy of PROFINEWS.
• Complimentary listing on the Members directory and Product Finder sections in both PAANZ and PI visible to both members and non members.
• Other complimentary and discounted opportunities to advertise through our publications and medias.
• The right to use PI logo on your products and promotional materials.
• Free use of trademark logos and marketing materials.
• Assistance with IDENT numbers for locally manufactured products.
• Invites to members only events.
• Complimentary and discounts access to all events, training courses both online and face to face.
• Heavily discounted option to exhibit at all Australian Expo.s.
• The right to be elected to the PAA Management Committee and have input on what happens within the PAANZ.

This membership level is suitable for companies using PROFIBUS, PROFINET, IO LINK products.

Student

Student/academic – yearly complementary membership fee

This membership level is suitable for students and members of academia not gaining direct commercial benefits from the PROFIBUS market, but requiring an understanding of the technology. Specific membership benefits, available at no additional cost, are:

• a monthly copy of PROFINEWS, in pdf format
• a copy of PROFIBUS CD,
• personal notification about seminars and exhibitions, priority over non-members in case of seat limit,
• assistance in locating providers of PROFIBUS related products and services.
